Occupation of the respondents: Approximately, 65 percent of respondents in Battambang province are of ages between below 25 years to 45 years. 20.6% of women are below 25 years of age, 18.3% of 26-35 years, and 25.4% of 36-45 years of age. Approximately 80% of respondents in Siem Reap province are of ages between below 25 years to 45 years. 27.8% of women are of ages below 25 years, 28.6% of ages 26-35 years, and 23% of ages 36-45 years. Whereas less than half of the respondents in Banteay Meanchey province are of same ages as in these two provinces. 16% of respondents are of ages of below 25 years, 16% of 26-35 years, and 16.8% of ages 36-35 years. The study also examined current occupations of the respondents (as shown in Table below per province and Figure in total).

Agriculture farming is the dominant occupation of women in all three provinces (82.5% in Battambang province, 71% in Banteay Meanchey province, and 55.6% in Siem Reap province) followed by housewifery (7.4%, 18.3% and 20.6% in Battambang, Banteay Meanchey and Siem Reap provinces respectively), home-based businesses (5.6%, 3.8% and 9.5% in Battambang, Banteay Meanchey and Siem Reap provinces respectively), thatching and laborers.
Housewifery is reproductive work, which has always been unvalued. This issue has always been debated in the gender and development field. However, when compared among the provinces, women in Battambang province are more economically active in terms of their percentage share. For examples, percentage of women in agricultural farming is highest in Battambang province (82.5%) compared to women in Banteay Meanchey (71%) and Siem Reap province (55.6%). Contrarily, percentage of women engaged in household work in the latter two provinces (18.3 in Banteay Meanchey and 20.6% in Siem Reap province) is higher than the percentage of women in household work in Battambang province (7.4%).
Out number of respondents in all three provinces was married (63.4%) followed by widowed (18.8%), unmarried and single (13%), and divorced/separated/abandoned (1.6% each). Table below provides detail statistics of women of different marital status by province.

The respondents were asked about the size of their family. Family size was categorically divided into four types: 1-2-member family, 2-5-member family, 6-8-member family and family with member more than 8. The majority of the respondents in all three provinces have family of 3-5 members (57.90% in Battambang, 49.60% in Banteay Meanchey and 41.30% in Siem Reap Provinces). Relatively a higher percentage of respondents in all three provinces (41.30% in Siem Reap, 39.70% in Banteay Meanchey and 31.70% in Battambang provinces) have bigger family size (6-8 members).
